Maarten van Smeden (UU/UMCU), researcher at the EWUU-AI hub, is working on artificial intelligence in healthcare. Just as cars need a general periodic inspection (MOT), it is also important to periodically test whether the artificial intelligence is still good enough for use and to carry out the appropriate maintenance if necessary. Chantal Tax (UU/UMCU) is working on the use of powerful MRI machines, organoid models, and developing efficient computer programs, to better understand brain tumours in children and ultimately improve their treatment. For more information click here

Ylona van Dinther (UU) is developing a new system approach to use all satellite observations and physics to image where large earthquakes will occur. For more information click here

Francesca Grisoni (TU/e) is pioneering next-generation AI methods for drug discovery, with increased creativity and problem-solving capacities – to ultimately accelerate drug discovery. For more information click here

Steven Houben (TU/e) is exploring how new interfaces, interaction techniques, and visualizations can integrate AI tools (such as ChatGPT) more meaningfully into collaboration and interaction with the world around us. For more information click here
